Description:
Traditional dishes from the region. Galushki are small pieces of dough boiled in water, while treski are thin fried dough made with rakia (Bulgarian brandy).
Ingredients:
For galushki:
1 egg
A pinch of salt
Water
Flour
For treski:
1 egg
1 small glass of water
A little salt
Vinegar
2 tbsp rakia
Preparation:
Galushki: Knead a firm dough. Drop small torn pieces of the dough into boiling salted water and cook for 10–15 minutes. Drain and grease lightly.
Treski: Mix the dough from egg, water, salt, and vinegar. Be sure to add two tablespoons of rakia so that the dough does not soak up oil during frying.
