Festive Pita

Beautifully shaped festive pita with kashkaval cheese and sesame seeds.

Ingredients:

  • Flour – 2 kg
  • Oil – 100 ml
  • Water – 800 ml
  • Fresh milk – 200 ml
  • Yogurt – 6 tbsp
  • Butter – 1/2 packet
  • Kashkaval cheese – 100 g
  • Dry yeast – 2 packets
  • Eggs – 4 pcs
  • Cheese – 300 g
  • Salt – 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  • Sesame – 1 tbsp

Instructions: Knead soft dough and let it rise. Divide into 12 balls. Each is rolled out, brushed with butter, sprinkled with cheese and shaped into a “knot”. Arrange in a pan, let rise, brush with egg yolks and sprinkle with sesame and kashkaval. Bake at 180 degrees for about 1 hour.
